Professor Guseva has written and presented on issues relating to securities law, banking law, financial transactions and cross-border transplantation of business law. Her areas of expertise also include transactional studies and contract law. Yuliya Guseva was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Program on the Law and Economics of Capital Markets and the Kauffman Legal Research Fellow at Columbia Law School from 2009 to 2011. As the Kauffman Fellow, she assisted in teaching a number of transactional courses involving corporate finance issues, business associations law, sales contracts, joint-venture agreements, international arbitration and bankruptcy. As part of her doctoral studies she also performed traineeships at the European Investment Bank in Luxembourg and the World Law Institute of Emory University School of Law. Professor Guseva received her LL.B. from a Russian university (with highest honors), LL.M. from Columbia Law School (Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar) and S.J.D. from Central European University (summa cum laude).
