Election Law and the Presidency

We will address the basic issues of Election Law, including the two-party system as the foundation of American politics the constitutional rights of political parties and their members the rights of minor parties and independent bodies ballot access issues voting rights and representative democracy and campaign finance. We will then look at salient issues relating to the nomination and election of the President, including the electoral college several important presidential elections election administration voting fraud and suppression impeachment and succession.A paper will be required, which will count for 75% of the grade participation will count for 25%.
