Fashion Modeling LawThe seminar will provide a comprehensive overview of the legal, business and societal issues faced by fashion models and their agencies. Topics will include the structural, legal and regulatory constraints within which the industry functions; formation and dissolution of business relationships among fashion models, agencies and clients; intellectual property rights, use and and misuse, and litigation as a remedy; the effect of digital media and social networking on the fashion modeling business; immigration and finance concerns; and the signficant social and cultural issues relevant to the industry. An in-class final exam is required.
