Introduction to U.S. Transactional PracticeThis course will provide LL.M. students with on overview of U.S. transactional practice and the practical skills that are useful in the context of representing corporate clients. In addition to the lectures and simulations, the course will include classes with guest speakers, including successful LL.M. alumni currently practicing law in New York City. Throughout the semester, students will participate in contract negotiation and drafting exercises. The course will assist students in fine tuning their legal research and writing skills, client management strategies and introduce them to contract drafting and negotiation. Students will have the opportunity to explore various areas of substantive law while learning the relevant practical skills to effectively represent clients on transactional matters.
