Clinical Externship: Civil and Human Rights
To earn credit, externs will participate in both 140 hours of fieldwork and a seminar which meets seven times during the semester.Fieldwork (140 hours): Externs will work on human rights projects at non-governmental organizations, the International Human Rights Committee of the New York City Bar Association and the United Nations.
Seminar: This seminar will explore topics which include: goal-setting, supervision, legal research, ethical issues in practice, professionalism and, through students presentations, a variety of issues raised in individual fieldwork settings.
