Commercial Drafting Lecture

Through a combination of lectures, hands-on drafting exercises, and extensive out-of-class writing assignments, students in this course learn to draft documents typically used in business transactions such as a stock purchase agreement, a lease, and closing documents. Although the course is of particular interest to students pursuing a corporate law career, any student attracted to a transactional practice will find it helpful. Unlike the Commercial Drafting Seminar, assignments are not individually reviewed or graded by the professor but are discussed extensively in class. The course grade is based primarily on a take-home examination.
