Directions to The Theater at Madison Square Garden

The Theater at Madison Square Garden is located on 7th Avenue between 32nd Street and 33rd Street.


If you are coming by car, drive into Manhattan via any connecting bridge, tunnel, or road.  Edison ParkFast has locations at:

The Theater at Madison Square Garden and/or Fordham University is not responsible for any parking tickets, vandalism, etc. while parking for an event or otherwise.


If you are coming by subway, take the A, C, E, 1, 2 or 3 train to 34th Street/Penn Station.


If you are coming by bus, take the M20, M34, M34A, or M32 bus to 34th and 7th Avenue.

Assembling to March for the Diploma Ceremony

On Monday, May 19, 2013, students must arrive with their caps and gowns in hand at The Theater at Madison Square Garden at 9:30 a.m. sharp. Students will use the entrance on 7th Avenue between 32nd and 33rd Streets. Law School representatives will be there to direct students to their proper place in line. Students should consider the following: (1) Guests are not allowed in the graduate seating area and will use the entrance on 7th avenue between 32nd and 33rd streets. Doors for guests will open at 10:00 a.m.; (2) Students should have breakfast before arriving at Madison Square Garden; (3) Do not bring any personal belongings (i.e. handbags, briefcases or coats), because there is no coat check or security available. You should have one of your guests hold your personal belongings for you; (4) The facility and the gowns can be quite warm, so dress appropriately; (5) There will be no extra caps and gowns available at Madison Square Garden.

Seating for your Guests

Doors for guests to enter The Theater at Madison Square Garden will open at 10:00 a.m.  The Graduation Procession of graduates will begin prompty at 10:30 a.m.  All guests must possess a ticket for entrance into The Theater at Madison Square Garden.  Guests should be in their seats by 10:30 a.m. 

Commencement Address

The Diploma Ceremony speaker will be announced shortly.


Arrangements have been made with a professional photographer to take photos of each graduate as they receive their diploma.  The company will contact you several weeks after graduation regarding your photograph and its purchase.

Please advise your guests that (1) an official photographer will photograph each graduate; (2) to be considerate of others taking photographs, and (3) they are not to go on stage or interfere with the photographer.
