President Barack Obama is planning another push to try and close the U.S. military prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He tried and failed during his first year in office. Will this time be any different?

In a news conference yesterday, President Obama reaffirmed his intention to close Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba. The announcement comes amidst a massive hunger strike at the prison by detainees protesting the conditions of their confinement.

Karen Greenberg, director of Fordham University's Center on National Security and author of The Least Worst Place: Guantanamo's First 100 Days, is confident the prison will close but says it won't be an easy sell. "There's going to be a lot of heavy-handed diplomacy involved and a lot of talking to Congress about it," says Greenberg.
