Dispute Resolution Society Reaches Top 10 at International Competition

April 09, 2013

Dispute Resolution Society members David Gilboa '14, Nicole Lipsky '14, and Amory Minot '14 reached the top 10 at the International Competition for Mediation Advocacy.

During the competition, held on March 11–15 in Toronto, team members acted as both lawyers and clients working toward solutions with the aid of a neutral mediator.

“I’m incredibly proud of how our competitors performed,” said the team’s coach, Sara Petranek '13. “Their hard work paid off, and the team’s dedicated preparation was evident throughout the competition.”

Team members were supported by Professors Jacqueline Nolan-Haley and Deborah Shapiro. The team was provided with valuable assistance throughout their preparation by Society Chairperson Rob Sanzillo ‘13, Competitions Editor Julia Belagorudsky ‘13, and the dedicated ICMA team, as well as other alumni and current Society members.
