U.S. News Ranks Fordham Law #38 in Nation, Evening Program #3March 12, 2013
In its 2014 edition of "America's Best Graduate Schools," released March 12, 2013, U.S. News & World Report ranked Fordham Law No. 38 among 194 U.S. law schools included in the rankings. The School's evening program is ranked No. 3 out of 82 such programs across the country.
Key factors in the School’s overall ranking were the employment outcomes of the Class of 2011—whose members faced a challenging job market—and changes in the U.S. News methodology that discounted certain kinds of employment. On all of the other ranking factors, Fordham maintained its strength.
"While I am disappointed that we didn’t rank higher, Fordham Law remains in a highly competitive position, and the School is committed to doing all we can to support the employment and career prospects of our graduates, " said Fordham Law Dean Michael M. Martin. "Indeed, the recent National Law Journal 'Go-To Law Schools' report shows that Fordham Law places in the top 20 at NLJ 250 firms."
In the 2014 edition, Fordham Law remained among the country's most diverse law schools, and several specialty programs were nationally ranked:
