Students in Law School Garden

Registration Procedure

**Registration for the 2015 Summer Institute is now closed. Please email if you have any questions.**

Who Can Register

The Summer Institute is open to international law students and graduates with an interest in U.S. law.  There are no specific academic requirements in order to register for this program.  All courses will be conducted in English, but we do not require any language assessment scores.

Many students who are coming to the United States for an LL.M. degree find this program helpful as an introduction to U.S. law prior to their Master studies.  Each year we also welcome many other international law students, graduates and practitioners who are interested in U.S. law.

When to Register

The deadline for registration and full payment is June 15.  However, space in the program is limited and early registration is encouraged.  We expect this program to fill before the registration deadline.  Participants are accepted to the program in the order in which complete registrations, including the $500 deposit, are received.

How to Register

Registration has now closed; please contact with any questions.  Please note that at the time of registration, you will be required to upload your resume/curriculum vitae and a passport style photo.  You should have these files ready before starting the registration process.

Once you have submitted your registration form, please submit a $500 deposit or pay in full online by credit card.  Alternatively, you may pay by wire transfer, check, or money order.  Please contact us for details on those payment methods.  The deposit is applied toward the program cost and is nonrefundable, unless a student is not accepted into the program.  Please note that submitting a program deposit is the only way to secure a seat in the program.

Obtaining a Visa

There is no visa requirement for the Summer Institute program.  Students who wish to apply for a visa for their participation in the Summer Institute must complete an AFCOE visa form and a financial statement.  This form should be submitted to the Office for International Services.  Only registrants who have submitted the program deposit may apply for a visa.  For more information, please visit our visa information page.
