Clinical Visiting Assistant Professor of Law
BioRachel Spector is a Clinical Teaching Fellow at Fordham University School of Law. Before joining Fordham Law School, she was a senior staff attorney at MFY Legal Services, where she represented low-income workers throughout the city as well as tenants in Chinatown and the Lower East Side of Manhattan. She worked closely with community groups and advocated for the immigrant community, including working to improve language access within New York’s unemployment insurance system.
Professor Spector received her B.A. from Barnard College and her J.D. from City University of New York School of Law. During law school, she interned with the Mississippi Poultry Workers Center, Make the Road New York, and the Natural Resources Defense Council, worked at the Communications Workers of America District 1 Counsel office, and participated in several law school clinics. After graduation, she served as a law clerk to the Hon. Shira A. Scheindlin in the Southern District of New York.
