ExperienceJohn Beatty graduated Fordham University School of Law in 2006 with honors.
John, an NYPD sergeant (Ret.), graduated magna cum laude from the City University of New York in 1998. In 1999, he was selected by the Police Commissioner as the NYPD’s sole recipient of the Harvard University Government Masters program fellowship. Upon graduation from Harvard, John returned to the NYPD and attended Fordham Law School, where he was elected Editor of the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy program. John competed nationally and was twice voted a national semifinalist.
During law school John worked in the NYPD’s Legal Bureau. John served as a judicial intern on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. After graduating from Fordham, John practiced as a supervising attorney in the NYPD’s Civil Enforcement Unit where he prosecuted forfeiture cases involving narcotics, firearms and stolen property.
Since May 2007 he has been an associate at Kramer, Dillof, Livingston & Moore where he litigates significant automobile accident, motorcycle accident, construction accident, wrongful death, product defect, burn injury, personal injury, premises liability and medical malpractice cases.
He has been an Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy since 2007.
John is admitted to practice law in State and Federal Courts in New York and Massachusetts.
