Job Experience
Judge Brennan was appointed to the U.S.Immigration Court located in New York in August 2003. From 2000 to 2003 she was a Member of the Board of Immigration Appeals, the highest administrative body for interpreting and applying immigration laws nationally. From 1994 to 2000 Judge Brennan served as a Deputy Assistant Attorney General under Janet Reno. From 1987 until 1994 Judge Brennan was an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Columbia. Judge Brennan received her undergraduate degree from Marywood College and a master of arts degree from George Washington University. She is a 1985 graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center where she served on the Adjunct Faculty from 1992-2003 and taught courses in trial practice, ethics and, law in literature. She was a member of the Board of Governors of the DC Bar from 1997-2002. She is a member of the New York and DC bars, The Federal Bar Council Public Service Committee and since 2003 has served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Fordham Law School.
