Integrative Law and Social Work PlacementsLEARN HOW LAWYERS AND SOCIAL WORKERS CAN MAKE A CRITICAL DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF AT-RISK FAMILIES AND CHILDREN! The opportunity for professionals to successfully help clients with domestic violence, poverty and child welfare issues is increased when working collaboratively. The Interdisciplinary Center for Child and Family Advocacy offers Externships and Fellowships that provide students with a unique opportunity to experience collaborative work by sponsoring a number of semester, full year and summer externships and paid fellowships. Through these opportunities, students:
Students externing at interdisciplinary placements will take part in the Integrative Law and Social Work Externship Seminar.
Externships are available at non-profit organizations that employ laywers and social workers who work collaboratively, including: The Brooklyn Family Defense Project The Center for Family Representation, Inc.
