There's no need for a financial background, simply a passion for helping people navigate the increasingly complicated choices to manage personal finances.  Working with classes is fun and satisfying.  And teaching won't take up a lot of your time. Once you are trained, we provide power-points, outlines, handouts, everything you need to present a class. Topics include among others: saving, budgeting, managing credit and debt, borrowing for college.
Have other skills? If you have a background as a writer, editor, corporate trainer, marketer, or are fluent in social media—or Spanish or Chinese—you can also help.
We are also seeking help to create educational videos on personal finance topics so please contact us if you can offer some guidance!
Contact to volunteer.
Once you are trained, you volunteer for classes at your own convenience.  It's interesting and a great way to get out into the community and give back.
