Fordham Law Alumni Admitted to Supreme Court Bar
Thirty-three Fordham Law alumni were admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court at the annual Fordham Law Alumni Admission Ceremony on May 28. The event, held at the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C., included a breakfast for the alumni and their guests and a tour of the courthouse.
The Admission Ceremony has taken place annually since 1986. Each year, the prospective members of the bar gather in the Supreme Court courtroom, where an already admitted Fordham Law alumnus makes a motion to admit the new members. This year, the motion was made by Professor Constantine Katsoris ’57, who has been involved with the Admission Ceremony for over 25 years. Seven of the nine Supreme Court Justices were in attendance.
If you’re interested in participating in next year’s ceremony to be held on Monday, May 5, 2014, please contact Sabriena Matthews.
