Fordham Law Visits Alumni in Brazil and Argentina

A group of Fordham Law administrators recently traveled to Argentina and Brazil to meet with alumni and enhance the School’s presence in these two vibrant international chapters of the Fordham

Fordham Law Dean Michael M. Martin, Assistant Dean for International and Non-J.D. Programs Toni M. Fine, and Assistant Dean for Advancement and AVP for External Relations Vera Bullock first went to São Paulo, Brazil, where an admissions event and alumni reception were held for 43 attendees at Peixoto e Cury Advogados on March 14. LL.M. graduate Rafael Villac Vicente de Carvalho ’09 and colleague Jose Ricardo hosted the event. Carvalho and Helen Naves ’09 were chosen as co-presidents of the Brazil chapter.

an admissions event and alumni reception were held at Allende & Brea Abogados. Twenty-four people attended the program, which was hosted by LL.M. graduate Pablo Palazzi ’00. Palazzi and fellow graduate Maximo Bonchil ’11 were selected as president and vice president respectively of the Argentina chapter.

“As Fordham Law continues to enhance its presence in South America, Argentina will become increasingly important to the School’s recruiting and networking goals,” said Palazzi. “I am happy to help contribute to Fordham’s growing position in this part of the world.”
