Margaret Sipser Leibowitz is a visiting professor in labor and employment law at Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, MI where she has taught for the past two years. She was a full-time extension faculty member at Cornell’s School of Industrial & Labor Relations (ILR) for 25 years teaching labor law, employment law and dispute resolution (collective bargaining, mediation and arbitration). She received teaching awards from ILR and Cornell. Ms. Leibowitz is an adjunct professor at NY Law School, Teacher’s College, Columbia University and the Zicklin School of Business, Baruch College, CUNY. Since 1981, Ms. Leibowitz has served as an arbitrator and mediator of labor-management disputes in private and public employment. She is a panel member of the American Arbitration Association, the NYS Public Employment Relations Board, the NYC Office of Collective Bargaining and the NJ State Board of Mediation. She also served as an Administrative Law Judge and Mediator at the NYS Division of Human Rights.
