For the last 25 years, Robert Langer has specialized in investments in Russia and the former Soviet Union.  In addition to helping international companies structure and implement strategic and portfolio investments in the region, Mr. Langer has helped major Russian companies (and republics with the Russian federation) access international capital markets.  His work also centers on project finance, technology, private equity funds and real estate development. 
He was a post-graduate student at the Institute of State and Law of the USSR Academy of Sciences in 1985 and he was the first American lawyer to establish, with his firm, a joint venture law office in the Soviet Union in 1990.  After living in Russia for for more than 10 years, he returned to New York and splits his time between the New York and Moscow offices.
He received his BA with high honors from the University of Michigan, and his JD magna cum laude from Tulane University Law School.
