Giorgio Bovenzi began teaching at Fordham University School of Law in the Spring 2008 semester.

Giorgio Bovenzi practices at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York, where he focuses on global credit risk management and advises clients regarding the credit risks involved in complex cross-border financial transactions and the enforceability of the right to liquidate collateral upon a counterparty's insolvency. In his daily practice, he deals with attorneys and counterparties from more than 50 countries. He has also been involved in insolvencies, corporate restructurings, bankruptcy litigation, acquisitions of distressed or reorganized companies, and other cross-border transactions. He is admitted to practice in New York State and Italy.

Giorgio received his J.D. equivalent degree from the University of Naples Law School, Italy, in 1988 and his Master of Comparative Jurisprudence from New York University School of Law in 1995. He clerked for the Honorable Donald C. Pogue, U.S. Court of International Trade, in 1995-96. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, INSOL International, and the International Bar Association.
