Matthew W. Alsdorf is an associate in Jenner & Block’s New York Office. He is a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department and represents invidivuals and corporations in a wide variety of criminal and civil matters. Prior to joining Jenner & Block, Mr. Alsdorf clerked for the Honorable Denise L. Cote, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Mr. Alsdorf was previously an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, where he worked on several major commercial litigation matters, including the primary civil lawsuit rising out of the collapse of Enron. He also worked on a wide range of pro bono projects, including a lawsuit seeking marriage equality for same-sex couples in New York State.
He received his J.D. from Yale Law School and his B.A. in Economics from Williams College where he graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. While at Yale, Mr. Alsdorf created and taught an undergraduate course on sex, sexuality, gender, and American constitutional law.
